Principal, Strategy and Transformation (Risk)

Location: Scottsdale, United States; hybrid work model. Candidates must independently possess eligibility to work in the United States for any employer at the date of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Base pay: $154,000–$193,000 per year for Phoenix, Chicago, and Washington, DC, plus a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead planning and execution for multiple complex initiatives within the enterprise Risk Transformation roadmap.
• Build integrated program and workstream plans covering deliverables, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, and outcomes.
• Manage day-to-day execution, identify delivery risks and issues, and drive timely resolution and escalation.
• Establish governance routines, working sessions, decision forums, executive updates, and stakeholder reporting.
• Align Risk subject matter experts, business and technology leaders, PMO partners, and lines of defense.
• Support implementation of risk-management processes, governance structures, operating models, and related capabilities.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of progressive experience or an equivalent demonstrated portfolio.
• Experience leading large-scale, complex, cross-functional transformation or strategic change programs in financial services or another highly regulated environment.
• Hands-on program management experience with integrated plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, governance, executive reporting, and delivery outcomes.
• Experience managing concurrent workstreams with organizational complexity, cross-functional dependencies, and senior stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of risk-management concepts, processes, controls, governance, or operating models.
• Bachelor’s degree equivalent, background check, and drug screen required. U.S. work eligibility is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a second-line risk management organization or enterprise risk transformation in a financial institution.
• Knowledge of RCSA, controls management, issues management, enterprise resilience, change risk, product risk, technology risk, data risk, or risk metrics and reporting.
• Formal program or project management training or certification.
