BSN PN Nurse Instructor (Nursing Education)

Location: Albuquerque, NM, USA; campus-based position. Minimum commitment of one day per week, on Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays.

What you will do

• Teach PN and BSN students in simulation, skills lab, and clinical settings.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences at assigned healthcare facilities.
• Observe, instruct, and evaluate student performance against clinical learning outcomes.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain attendance, skills check-off, and clinical records.
• Coordinate clinical assignments with student and facility needs.
• Submit program reports, attend faculty meetings, and support nursing program committees and student communication.

Requirements

• Valid, unencumbered nursing license issued by a State Board of Nursing.
• At least four years of registered nursing experience, including one year within the last five years, with recent direct patient care or qualifying clinical teaching experience.
• Master’s degree with coursework in nursing, education, or administration and academic preparation in the teaching subject; a completed BSN with enrollment in an MSN program may be considered.
• Eligibility for Board approval as an instructor in Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• Expertise in at least one nursing area, including Mental Health, Medical-Surgical, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Labor and Delivery, Community Health, or Critical Care.
• Clinical teaching experience or completion of a nursing teaching course is preferred.
