What you will do

• Coordinate unit-based orientation and monitor new-hire progress throughout the orientation period.
• Assess educational needs and design, deliver, and evaluate activities that maintain and advance clinical staff competency.
• Facilitate preceptor development and coach and mentor staff in safe, quality care delivery.
• Review and revise unit-specific competencies with unit leadership and the Clinical Development Department.
• Maintain required education records, support annual performance appraisals, and ensure compliance with area-specific educational requirements.
• Partner with Clinical Development staff and nursing leadership to deliver in-service programs and advance unit goals.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of New Hampshire required.
• At least two years of progressive clinical experience in the specialty area.
• Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies.
• Ability to develop classes, use teaching technologies, provide constructive feedback, and maintain timely records.
• Ability to achieve unit-based competencies and assessment and evaluation competencies within 90 days.
