Supplier Quality Engineer (Electronics Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Drive supplier quality improvements through part evaluations, data analysis, process reviews, and structured problem solving.
• Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and suppliers on technical, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
• Support supplier qualification, onboarding, development, and new product introduction activities.
• Develop supplier performance metrics, scorecards, improvement plans, and quality planning activities.
• Lead supplier corrective actions, root cause investigations, failure analysis, returns, and non-conformance tracking.
• Conduct supplier audits and process assessments while implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality tools including FMEA, control plans, FAI, SPC, and capability studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Quality, supplier qualification, or product approval processes.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and manufacturing process assessments.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and experience with statistical analysis and continuous improvement.
• Experience with electrical and electronic assemblies, wire harnesses, cable assemblies, PCBAs, connectors, electromechanical components, and sensor or detection systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bills of materials.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor certification.
• Experience in aerospace, industrial equipment, instrumentation, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Exposure to ISO 14001, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SAP ERP, quality management systems, and Microsoft Office reporting tools.
• Experience developing suppliers across Asia.
