What you will do
- Lead a small engineering team while contributing directly to coding, architecture, and system design.
- Design and maintain full-stack capabilities and reliable workflows for an AI-powered SaaS product.
- Use and expand agentic AI workflows across specification, implementation, code review, testing, and delivery.
- Partner with Product on backlog management, requirements refinement, estimation, sprint planning, rollouts, and optimization.
- Improve CI/CD, release traceability, technical standards, testing coverage, and engineering delivery processes.
- Coach engineers, facilitate Agile ceremonies, communicate technical risks and decisions, and help scale the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading a software engineering team and supporting team growth.
- Experience with system design, architecture, backlog management, delivery reporting, Agile practices, and engineering workflow improvement.
- Hands-on experience developing customer-facing products with integrated AI capabilities and understanding their development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and improvement lifecycle.
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with C#, .NET 10, TypeScript, REST APIs, relational or NoSQL databases, CI/CD, cloud deployment, and automated testing.
- Experience with Microsoft Graph API and strong ability to communicate technical concepts, risks, tradeoffs, and timelines.
- Canadian work permit, permanent residency, or Canadian citizenship required.

- Experience with Vue 3, MongoDB, AWS, or additional technologies in the engineering stack.
- Experience leading teams through active growth, conducting formal performance reviews, or working in a startup environment.
