Strategy & Operations Associate (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA, Financial District; in-person Monday–Friday. Candidates must be based in San Francisco or be willing to relocate immediately.

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 annually for Zone A, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build AI workflows and internal tools that replace manual finance and operations work.
• Track infrastructure and vendor costs, analyze spending, and support cost-control initiatives.
• Create KPI dashboards, board materials, and recurring reports covering revenue, pipeline, burn, headcount, and other business metrics.
• Support go-to-market operations, including pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and cross-functional reporting.
• Partner with Engineering and Design on headcount planning, hiring plans, tooling, and operating processes.
• Own cross-functional projects and finance operations, including pricing analysis, market sizing, vendor payments, customer invoicing, collections, monthly close, cash tracking, and budget-versus-actuals.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of experience in a high-paced environment; MBB, investment banking, or similar experience required.
• Hands-on, AI-native experience using LLMs and agents and building solutions with them.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including building and stress-testing financial models.
• Exceptional attention to detail when handling financial operations and payments.
• Strong written and verbal communication across Finance, go-to-market, Engineering, and Design.
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate immediately; the role is fully in-office Monday–Friday.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurtech, fintech, B2B SaaS, or a high-growth technology company.
• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Ramp, Rippling, Looker, Retool, Sigma, Zapier, or similar tools.
• Prior startup or founder experience.
• Exposure to sales and go-to-market operations or engineering program management.
