Data & AI Research Analyst (AI)

Location: Full-time, in-person in New York City, United States

Base salary: $140,000–$200,000 per year, plus variable bonus and meaningful early-stage equity.

What you will do

• Use proprietary datasets from more than 10,000 expert discussions to identify company and market trends across data and AI sectors.
• Develop forward-looking analyses of enterprise AI budgets, vendor displacement, data consolidation, and cloud workload migration.
• Create high-impact research content for newsletters and client communications.
• Present actionable insights to investors and corporate clients through calls, webinars, and events.
• Improve the AI-native research methodology in partnership with product and engineering teams.
• Track emerging technologies and companies across AI agents, inference economics, lakehouse and vector architectures, and open-source models.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience creating data-driven research in equity research, financial analysis, market research, or consulting.
• Understanding of fundamental research workflows, including idea sourcing, primary research, position sizing, and risk management.
• In-depth knowledge of AI and machine learning operations, databases, data management, data integration, data governance, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong long-form and short-form writing skills, with the ability to synthesize data into forward-looking insights and communicate with investors and corporate clients.
• Experience managing and analyzing large datasets; SQL experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to use AI tools and agents to automate analysis, test ideas, and improve research productivity and rigor.
