NDT Quality Inspection Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Grand Prairie, Texas, United States; 95% onsite

What you will do

• Perform non-destructive testing on aircraft structural components and sub-assemblies to identify cracks and other defects.
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results against approved instructions and certify parts as pass or fail.
• Prepare parts before and after testing, including detergent washing, degreasing, and ultrasonic water rinsing.
• Maintain NDT equipment, reference specimens, concentration checks, and contamination checks.
• Complete maintenance records, inspection documentation, and SAP labor tracking.
• Travel domestically and internationally approximately 5% of the time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of proven NDT testing experience in one or more NDT methods, or four years of experience as a certificated aviation maintenance technician on aircraft components and systems.
• A&P license, or the ability to obtain a repairman certificate within three months of employment.
• Ability to perform applicable examinations using calibration blocks and written procedures and demonstrate competency to the Level III within the first 90 days.
• Knowledge of NDT methods, their applications and limitations, and the ability to understand technical and regulatory documentation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available unless specifically stated.
