Paint Manufacturing Engineer (Manufacturing): Operating and improving paint finishing systems at a manufacturing plant with an accent on equipment uptime, environmental compliance, quality control, and production tooling. Location: Perry, Oklahoma, United States; onsite. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual salary: $78,600–$98,200, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

  • Supervise the daily operation of paint finishing equipment and direct paint finishing technicians and maintenance mechanics.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs, emergency repairs, and outside vendors to maintain at least 99% uptime.
  • Monitor pretreatment and paint system parameters, troubleshoot process issues, and minimize quality deviations.
  • Manage operating budgets, inventories, capital equipment requirements, and production tooling.
  • Maintain paint SOPs, MSDS inventory records, housekeeping standards, and personnel training.
  • Track environmental requirements and support reporting for water quality, air emissions, hazardous waste, and other regulatory matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or a similar engineering discipline.
  • For Manufacturing Engineer III: 5–8 years of experience with manufacturing systems, equipment, processes, tooling, and work measurement.
  • For Manufacturing Engineer II: 1–3 years of experience with manufacturing systems, equipment, processes, tooling, and work measurement.
  • 2–4 years of experience in paint finishing technology and familiarity with basic chemical theory.
  • Strong computer skills with effective supervisory and budgeting abilities.
  • U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship or sponsorship transfer is unavailable.
