Location: Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, with relocation to the Knoxville area available within a 6-month window; 30–50% travel to North Carolina is required as needed. Work may be performed in the company setting, from home, or in a hybrid arrangement.
Salary: $95,161–$130,485 annual base pay

What you will do
- Optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, material utilization, plant layout, and machinery efficiency.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for powder coating operations, including technical support, troubleshooting, training, and quality improvement.
- Specify, justify, purchase, and implement capital equipment and tooling for manufacturing operations.
- Recommend and validate product design and process changes that improve manufacturability, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost.
- Lead safety, 5S, Lean, continuous improvement, SOP, and environmental compliance initiatives.
- Manage moderately complex cross-functional projects and provide mentoring, training, and technical leadership.
Requirements
- Level II: 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience; Senior level: 6–9 years, with manufacturing experience required for the Senior level.
- CAD skills and a 2-year associate degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- General fluency in SAP and experience with Lean concepts; strong Lean experience required for the Senior level.
- Advanced plant layout experience required for the Senior level.
- Ability to work from or relocate to Knoxville, Tennessee, with required travel to North Carolina.

- A 4-year bachelor’s degree in engineering.
