What you will do

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security.
• Deliver instruction in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.
• Contribute to curriculum development and assessment at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Maintain an active and productive research agenda.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Participate in departmental, college, university, and professional service.

Requirements

• Earned Ph.D. by the time of appointment in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Homeland Security, Security Studies, Emergency Management, or a closely related discipline.
• Preparation to teach undergraduate and graduate Criminal Justice courses and contribute to graduate instruction in Homeland Security.
• Evidence of scholarly productivity or a developing research agenda.
• Commitment to high-quality teaching and student success.
• Ability to work in Killeen, Texas and teach face-to-face courses as assigned.

Nice to have

• Ability to teach multiple areas of the Criminal Justice curriculum.
• Expertise in homeland security, intelligence, emergency management, policing, corrections, courts, criminology, cybercrime, terrorism, or public safety.
• Experience teaching graduate students or using online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced instruction.
• Experience with innovative or engaged teaching and diverse student populations.
