Assistant Professor of Management

Location: Canyon, Texas, United States. The position is a full-time faculty role with face-to-face and online teaching responsibilities. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment.

What you will do

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management and related disciplines.
• Develop and update course materials and assess student learning outcomes.
• Advise and mentor students and support student engagement and career preparation.
• Conduct scholarly research, publish academic and professional work, and maintain an active research agenda consistent with AACSB standards.
• Participate in curriculum development, assessment, accreditation, committees, and other university service activities.
• Collaborate with industry and community partners to support experiential learning and workforce development.

Requirements

• Doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Management, Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in university-level teaching.
• Documented scholarly research record or clear potential for research productivity.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, collegiality, and ability to work effectively with diverse students and colleagues.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Successful candidates must complete credential verification and a criminal history investigation.

Nice to have

• Ability to teach organizational behavior, human resource management, strategy, leadership, hospitality management, or tourism.
• Professional or applied managerial experience in hospitality, tourism, lodging, event management, or destination management.
• Industry engagement or established connections with hospitality and tourism organizations.
