Buyer I (Aerospace)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations under space technology export regulations.

What you will do

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services.
• Review supplier quotations, delivery schedules, purchasing requirements, and inventory needs.
• Monitor open purchase orders, supplier deliveries, order status, and delivery or supply issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, schedules, order status, and material availability.
• Track supplier delivery performance, quality concerns, and procurement metrics.
• Partner with supply chain, operations, manufacturing, engineering, quality, program management, and finance to support production schedules and procurement improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• University or internship experience with procurement, preferably involving electronic components.
• Familiarity with major electronics manufacturers and distributors, engineering design processes, and PLM tools.
• Experience with an ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial contracts, and cost breakdowns, with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Strong Excel skills, time management, and the ability to work under pressure.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with component library management software and consumables.
• Experience with accounts payable reconciliation and management.
• Experience with logistics, export control, or working in a rapidly growing startup.
