Senior Buyer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle for complex, high-value materials, equipment, services, and subcontracts.
• Develop and administer RFQs, RFPs, IFBs, purchase orders, blanket purchase orders, and subcontract agreements.
• Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking, and price and cost analysis to establish fair pricing.
• Negotiate supplier terms, pricing, delivery, and performance requirements, and monitor supplier performance through closeout.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Contracts, Configuration Management, Quality, and Accounts Payable.
• Provide procurement guidance and training to material planners, requisitioners, and junior buyers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, finance, engineering, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing complex purchase orders and subcontracts valued above $1 million.
• Experience with FAR- and DFARS-compliant procurement in a government contracting environment.
• Experience with Costpoint, SAP, Deltek, or an equivalent ERP system.
• Eligibility for access to export-controlled technical data may be required under NASA regulations, ITAR, and EAR; additional U.S. export-control screening may apply as a condition of employment. Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required by critical project milestones is also required.
