Supply Chain Intern (Aerospace) (Direct Materials Procurement): Supporting procurement, supplier infrastructure, and supply chain systems for high-speed aircraft production with an accent on supplier analysis, sourcing efficiency, and production readiness. Focus on developing SOPs, standard parts lists, supplier audit frameworks, and cross-functional sourcing strategies for scaled vehicle builds and qualification.

Location: On-site in Atlanta, GA or Los Angeles, CA

Salary: $25–$33 per hour; final compensation depends on degree level.

hirify.global is a venture-backed defense aviation company developing high-speed aircraft through rapid iterative hardware prototyping for the Department of War and its allies.

What you will do

  • Support purchasing activities for direct materials and help ensure timely delivery of vehicle components.
  • Conduct supplier gap analyses and develop the approved supplier list.
  • Develop and document supply chain standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain standard parts lists and improve sourcing efficiency and cost control.
  • Create supplier audit and quarterly business review templates and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams on sourcing strategies and scaled-production readiness.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting direct materials procurement.
  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly for cost and payment terms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Familiarity with procurement or ERP systems; GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Access to U.S. export-controlled information requires U.S. person status or eligibility for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

  • Experience in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

Culture & Benefits

  • Spring internship: approximately 16 weeks from January through April.
  • Summer internship: approximately 12 weeks from May through August.
