Solar Field Service Technician (Solar)

Location: Full-time jobsite in Kirtland, New Mexico, United States; remote-site work, on-call availability, and up to 10% travel for training, certifications, and site coverage.

Salary: $25.02–$31.27 per hour

What you will do

• Perform supervised maintenance and servicing of solar equipment across multiple solar plants.
• Conduct basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance using monitoring programs and testing equipment.
• Replace or repair solar parts and equipment under supervision.
• Respond to on-call emergency equipment repairs, including weekends or after-hours situations.
• Operate and maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles while preparing accurate service reports.
• Suggest process improvements, collaborate on new technologies, and coordinate implementation with EPC management.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Mechanical or electrical experience through formal training or previous work experience, with basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Basic understanding of solar installations, testing equipment, computer operations, and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work safely at remote outdoor sites in extreme weather, including lifting 50 pounds or more, climbing, bending, and working near energized or moving equipment.
• Valid U.S. work authorization without current or future employer sponsorship; valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
