Strategic Supply Chain Specialist (Supply Chain)

Location: Texarkana, TX 75505, United States; the role is listed as onsite, although remote may be an option. Preference is given to candidates in the Texarkana area.

Salary: $80,640–$120,960 per year.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end sourcing and subcontract administration for goods, services, equipment, facilities, and maintenance projects.
• Develop sourcing strategies, prepare bidder lists, issue RFQs, evaluate bids, and prepare competitive bid evaluations.
• Negotiate supplier pricing and issue purchase orders and subcontracts in compliance with FAR and DFAR requirements.
• Administer change orders, invoice dispute resolution, contract closeout, and delivery compliance.
• Maintain supplier relationships, coordinate audits, and ensure specification and quality requirements are met.
• Identify supply risks, implement mitigation plans, and support cost savings and estimating activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, government regulations, and legal contracting principles.
• Strong sourcing, negotiation, communication, analytical, decision-making, change-management, and conflict-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and SAP/ERP systems.
• Ability to regularly perform job functions at the company office or work site; English reading, writing, and speaking ability is required.

• Experience in government contracting.
• Experience in the munitions industry or manufacturing environments.
• Experience working in a matrixed organization and supporting production schedules.
