Retail Fulfillment Manager (CPG)

Location: United States; fully remote, with a hybrid option for candidates based in Austin, TX

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year base salary, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of retail purchase orders from receipt through shipment and ship confirmation.
• Manage the day-to-day relationship with the retail 3PL, including SLAs, performance reviews, scorecards, escalations, and corrective action plans.
• Oversee retailer compliance, routing guides, dock appointments, onboarding requirements, deductions, and chargebacks.
• Monitor inventory, safety stock, cycle counts, aging inventory, and discrepancies between WMS and internal systems.
• Audit 3PL and freight invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and coordinate with Finance, Logistics, carriers, brokers, retailers, and operations.
• Build KPI dashboards and improve processes to reduce costs, improve fulfillment cycle time, and scale retail operations.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in retail fulfillment, supply chain, or 3PL/warehouse operations, ideally in CPG.
• Direct experience managing 3PL relationships, enforcing SLAs, maintaining scorecards, and driving corrective actions.
• Experience with retailer compliance and routing-guide requirements, including major retailers such as Walmart, Target, or Costco.
• Working knowledge of EDI, ASN processes, freight and 3PL invoice auditing, and billing discrepancy resolution.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, including safety stock, reorder points, cycle counting, and inventory turns.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and experience with WMS, ERP, or inventory management systems.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• APICS/CPIM, CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Experience scaling retail fulfillment within a high-growth CPG or DTC-to-retail brand.
• Familiarity with GS1 labeling, UCC-128 case labels, chargeback resolution, SOS Inventory, or NetSuite.
