Applied Machine Learning Scientist Intern - PhD (AI)

What you will do

• Gather, clean, preprocess, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis on large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and relationships.
• Build and optimize predictive machine learning models for business problems.
• Develop data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI or Python libraries.
• Support machine learning model deployment and data engineering activities, including ETL processes in Snowflake or Databricks.
• Present findings and recommendations to data scientists, engineers, business stakeholders, and leadership.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; PhD internship experience is applicable.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and matplotlib.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
• Understanding of statistics and machine learning algorithms such as regression, classification, and clustering.
• Experience with data preprocessing, transformation, and exploratory data analysis.
• Eligibility to access export-controlled technology and software under applicable U.S. export control laws may be required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Power BI, seaborn, or Plotly.
• Familiarity with Generative AI and large language models.
