What you will do
- Set up test equipment and products according to testing procedures.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical tests on prototypes, existing products, and competitor products.
- Use mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement devices and accurately document scientific and physical measurements.
- Assist with assembling and fabricating test equipment and prototype products according to blueprints and bills of materials.
- Support manufacturing troubleshooting, maintain test documentation and databases, and prepare formal and informal test reports.
- Support engineering laboratory audits, 5S programs, and continuous improvement activities to reduce product defects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to stand and walk regularly, work with hands and controls, and occasionally lift 25β50 pounds.
Nice to have
- Experience participating in project teams.
- Experience with basic electrical measuring equipment, including DVOMs, clamp meters, infrared equipment, and thermometers.
- Experience with wire harness assembly and related tools.
- Experience using specialized equipment such as engine dynamometers.
- Experience with welding, sheet-metal shaping, milling, or turning.
