Salesforce Functional Architect (Salesforce Billing)

Location: Remote Mexico (Mexico City). Travel requirement: 10%.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end functional architecture for subscription, usage-based, and hybrid billing models in Salesforce.
• Design high-volume integrations between Salesforce Billing and ERP, revenue recognition, tax, and payment platforms.
• Convert business requirement epics into functional specifications, user stories, and technical blueprints.
• Collaborate with finance, revenue operations, and engineering stakeholders across multiple time zones.
• Troubleshoot and optimize invoice generation, proration logic, and system synchronization.

Requirements

• 6 or more years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem with a deep functional focus on Salesforce Billing.
• Experience designing complex integrations between billing applications and downstream ERP or financial systems.
• Strong understanding of the quote-to-cash lifecycle, subscription management, and financial reconciliation.
• Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence in an agile environment.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating Salesforce Billing with SAP or Oracle ERP.
• Familiarity with revenue recognition platforms, tax engines, and payment gateways.
• Experience with high-volume, enterprise-scale monetization and billing environments.
