Electrical Engineer (Senior / Staff) – Power Innovation (Energy)

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks for pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
• Drive Power Innovation initiatives involving automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage, and advanced control systems.
• Apply safety practices covering arc-flash mitigation, fault detection, and protection systems.
• Provide technical expertise for electrical schematics, power system design, new construction, and facility upgrades.
• Manage engineering projects from concept through execution and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze system performance and reliability, influence engineering standards, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Senior level: eight years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or a related industry.
• Staff level: 15 years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or a related industry.
• Strong expertise in power generation, power distribution, electrical design, automation, controls, and energy systems.
• Experience with PLC and HMI systems, system reliability analysis, arc-flash analysis, fault analysis, and optimization.
• Ability to work independently, lead technical efforts, and influence engineering decisions.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience supporting Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC projects.
• Experience with instrumentation and control system design.
• Experience with ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, or Simulink, plus knowledge of high-voltage systems, transformers, generators, switchgear, and grid integration.
