Senior Manager, Product Software Engineering - Foundations Engineering (AI)

Location: Hybrid role requiring 4+ days per week in the office in Glendale, California, or San Francisco, California

Salary: $188,400–$252,600 in Los Angeles, CA; $206,400–$276,700 in San Francisco, CA, plus potential bonus and long-term incentive units.

What you will do

• Lead platform engineering and DevOps capabilities, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, cloud integrations, deployment automation, and internal developer tooling.
• Establish reliability practices covering SLOs, SLIs, incident management, production readiness, resiliency, monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Lead database operations and data infrastructure for transactional, analytics, BI, and Data Platform workloads.
• Build and operate infrastructure for AI agentic and real-time ML systems, including inference runtimes, GPU orchestration, deployment automation, and governance.
• Drive FinOps, capacity planning, cloud spend visibility, utilization optimization, and anomaly detection across multi-cloud and AI workloads.
• Manage and grow engineering teams, own roadmap delivery, coordinate cross-team dependencies, and lead postmortems and operational reviews.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with depth in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or related disciplines.
• People management experience covering hiring, coaching, performance management, and engineering delivery culture.
• Production-scale AWS expertise required, with experience in Kubernetes, container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD operations.
• Experience with reliability engineering, SLO/SLI design, incident management, production readiness, and observability for distributed systems.
• Experience operating databases and data infrastructure, plus familiarity with AI infrastructure, ML platforms, and FinOps practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with online advertising technology, internal developer platforms, or large-scale self-service engineering tooling.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Kafka, vector databases, embedding pipelines, model serving, or agent execution platforms.
• Experience with high-availability real-time systems, live streaming, live advertising, event-driven architectures, or real-time bidding.
