Commodity Manager - Asia

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end commodity procurement strategies across Asia and provide regional insights for global commodity initiatives.
• Drive China localization sourcing and identify alternative suppliers outside China for low-cost region sourcing plans.
• Develop and manage strategic suppliers across Asia, including supplier capability assessments, reviews, and Supplier Relationship Management.
• Participate in bid packages, cost modeling, negotiations, and implementation initiatives to improve cost competitiveness.
• Apply hirify.global Business System principles, value engineering, process optimization, and lean initiatives to improve total cost of ownership.
• Coordinate procurement requirements across operating companies and functions, serving as a communication hub between overseas teams and regional suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in multinational companies, such as sourcing, procurement, technology, engineering, or project management.
• Proven ability to lead others in solving complex problems across multiple products, projects, businesses, or functions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, critical-thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts and methods.
• Fluent written and spoken English; willingness to travel and work additional hours when required.
