What you will do
- Identify suitable suppliers for projects using business requirements and mass-production performance criteria.
- Read engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials, and develop cost breakdown templates.
- Develop commodity strategies and build stable, competitive supplier bases covering total cost, quality, lead time, delivery, and technical capability.
- Place and follow up purchase orders and resolve short- and long-term material shortages.
- Manage supplier performance and conduct supplier audits to ensure quality, delivery, cost, and business requirements are met.
- Participate in additional assignments and projects as required, with 10% domestic travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above; a mechanics major is preferred.
- At least 3 years of sourcing experience; machine-parts sourcing experience is preferred.
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings and specifications and perform cost analysis.
- Experience with negotiation, project management, and multi-commodity sourcing, especially machining.
- Experience with small-volume, high-mix products.
- Teamwork, responsibility, quick learning, and the ability to work under pressure.
