Category Manager (Chemicals)

What you will do

• Develop purchasing strategies and lead sourcing activities for diluents, amines, supporting epoxy resin, and related categories.
• Analyze category technology, supplier capacity, supply bases, and market pricing to deliver sustainable cost savings.
• Reduce supply risk by introducing new vendors, moving away from single sourcing, and creating supplier competition.
• Manage supplier relationships and secure reliable supply at competitive cost.
• Lead sourcing for new product initiatives and product transfer projects.
• Support regional and global procurement networking and information flow.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Business Administration.
• At least five years of purchasing experience, ideally in a multinational chemical company.
• Experience in the electronics or epoxy resin industry is preferred.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of influencing stakeholders.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP, Excel including pivot-table data analysis, and Power BI.
