Test and Product Development Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $75,000–$150,000 per year base salary

What you will do

• Develop and manage the full lifecycle of complex strategic-grade systems, sensors, and components.
• Define and execute integration and test approaches for components, subsystems, and complete systems.
• Lead test architecture, test execution, and transition-to-production activities.
• Develop system requirements, compliance cases, test plans, technical reports, and data packages.
• Analyze deployed-system operations and use cases while leading concepts for system enhancements and large-scale upgrades.
• Apply model-based systems engineering and digital engineering approaches to product development and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, computer, or systems engineering, applied physics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering or a relevant role.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment and communicate risks to project leadership.
• Applicants selected for the position must obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Nice to have

• System data analysis using simulations or hardware-in-the-loop environments.
• Experience with GN&C systems, inertial instruments, vibration, signal processing, data acquisition and analysis, or control theory.
• Experience with system modeling and testing, hardware and software integration, MEMS, breadboard hardware, or electronics-based components.
• Experience with strategic GN&C systems, sensors, electronics modules, requirements management, and requirements traceability.
