Test Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States. Onsite work in a laboratory or workshop environment may involve loud noise, hazardous conditions, occasional lifting, and travel.

What you will do

• Contribute to technical projects and complete assigned engineering tasks.
• Assist with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting technical data for engineering decisions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
• Participate in planning meetings, workshops, and hands-on technical assignments.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support best-practice implementation.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and apply mentorship to ongoing projects.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Currently enrolled in a university or technical school pursuing Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical degree.
• Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with at least six months remaining until graduation after the internship.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and handle tools and technical equipment.

Nice to have

• Previous technical or engineering internship experience.
• Familiarity with the aerospace and defense industry.
• Basic knowledge of CAD or MATLAB.
• Microsoft Access skills.
