Long-Term Internship - Engineering Technical Aide (Aerospace)

Location: Wichita, Kansas, United States; onsite 100% at the Wichita Engineering office

What you will do

• Search for technical documents, release them into engineering database systems, and provide document templates.
• Support functional reviews, design dataset releases, and engineering database operations.
• Initiate, format, revise, scan, convert, sign, and distribute engineering documents.
• Develop presentation materials, illustrations, and project-related documentation.
• Maintain technical signature forms and coordinate with customers, suppliers, and engineering personnel.
• Build CATIA skills to provide drafting support for the engineering team.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• Must currently be located in the Wichita, Kansas metro area for a multi-semester onsite opportunity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail.
• Ability to interpret technical procedures, engineering drawings, and bill of material systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Exposure to airframe design, static analysis, mechanics of materials, or CAD applications.
• Experience with CATIA, MRB, ISAMI, PATRAN, or NASTRAN.
• Minor in Computer Science.
• Google Site development or maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance repair shop practices, equipment, and capabilities.
