TL;DR
Engineering Intern (Aerospace): Contributing to the design, development, testing, and improvement of engineering systems and prototypes for crewed space vehicles with an accent on hands-on engineering, technical problem-solving, and validation. Focus on developing and debugging technical solutions, analyzing engineering data, and documenting project deliverables in collaboration with experienced engineers.
Location: Houston, Texas; on-site. Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week for at least 12 weeks beginning January 2027. Candidates must provide their own relocation and housing.

What you will do
- Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, test, and improve engineering products, systems, and processes.
- Contribute to real-world engineering projects and deliverables under mentor guidance.
- Develop, test, debug, and document technical solutions, tools, and prototypes.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for engineering decisions.
- Participate in design reviews, team meetings, technical discussions, testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and project updates.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- At least three months of relevant engineering experience through internships, co-op programs, or industry projects.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, such as a current Green Card holder, due to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 12 weeks beginning January 2027.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering tools, programming languages, or technical platforms related to the role.
Nice to have
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.
- At least six months of relevant engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience from academic projects, student organizations, internships, research, personal projects, or technical hobbies.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
