Generative AI Consultant

Location: San Francisco, California, USA; hybrid attendance expected at least three days per week for consultants in primary market offices

Salary: Base salary starting at $105,000 annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Design, build, fine-tune, benchmark, validate, and deploy LLM and generative AI solutions.
• Develop GenAI-powered applications using self-managed and API-accessible models.
• Design and implement RAG architectures, advanced prompt strategies, and agentic AI systems.
• Integrate AI products with cloud platforms, external tools, APIs, and existing systems using MLOps practices.
• Create evaluation frameworks covering model performance, reliability, fairness, safety, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with data science, machine learning, platform, and business consulting teams while documenting methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s or engineering degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related quantitative field.
• 1–3+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, software engineering, or data science, including complex LLM and generative AI projects.
• Strong Python programming skills and proficiency with a GenAI framework such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Experience with NLP/NLU, vector embeddings, semantic search, LLM fine-tuning, and advanced prompting techniques.
• Knowledge of proprietary and open-source model ecosystems, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and MLOps services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Git, AI security, regulatory compliance, and model licensing requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with LangGraph, AutoGen, vector databases, conversational AI, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Understanding of Model Context Protocol and experience deploying models at scale in production.
