Director, Healthcare Economics

Location: Dallas, Texas or New York, New York — hybrid with three days in the office per week; remote work is available if necessary.

Base salary: $230,000–$250,000 per year, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead analytical workstreams for performance-based, risk-sharing, and hybrid pricing models.
• Analyze claims data, utilization trends, and payer and employer contract structures to evaluate revenue models.
• Develop scenario models, sensitivity analyses, and evidence packages supporting hirify.global’s commercial value proposition.
• Partner with the President, analytics leadership, marketing, and commercial sales on active sales cycles and strategic priorities.
• Manage relationships and data collaborations with partners such as Merative and Artemis Health, including data access and co-development agreements.
• Build and own a publication roadmap, including research briefs, white papers, peer-reviewed work, and dissemination.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, health economics, actuarial science, or a related field.
• Expertise with large, complex medical, pharmacy, and surgical claims datasets and healthcare data warehouses.
• Experience developing pricing models, financial impact analyses, or ROI and value frameworks in healthcare services or health plan settings.
• At least one first- or co-authored publication in a peer-reviewed or industry-recognized outlet.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive and external presentations.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one of R, Python, or SAS; familiarity with AI-based tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or DBX Genie.

Nice to have

• Experience at a healthcare technology company, benefits consulting firm, or specialty surgical benefits manager.
• Familiarity with employer-sponsored benefits economics, stop-loss insurance, or value-based care contracting.
• Graduate degree in business, public health, health economics, biostatistics, or a related discipline.
• Existing relationships with healthcare data vendors or academic research partners.
