Java Backend Software Engineer (SaaS): Designing and implementing robust, scalable distributed systems and connector integrations for a multi-tenant SaaS platform with an accent on microservices, data pipelines, cloud-native architecture, and observability. Focus on building fault-tolerant services, integrating REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and gRPC protocols, and improving reliability across high-throughput business workflows.
Location: São Paulo, Brazil; remote-friendly working environment

What you will do
- Design and implement high-performance, fault-tolerant connector integrations and adapters for mission-critical business workflows.
- Architect distributed microservices and cloud-native systems for multi-tenant SaaS environments.
- Build and optimize data pipelines using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, webhooks, and event-driven communication.
- Drive technical decisions, contribute to RFCs and architectural reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
- Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and operational health practices for deployed systems.
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and SRE teams to deliver features, resolve incidents, and improve platform reliability.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing large-scale, distributed backend systems with high throughput and low latency.
- Production experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture, microservices, service decomposition, API design, and inter-service communication.
- Expert-level Java experience, including concurrency, performance tuning, memory management, and the Java ecosystem such as Spring Boot, Guava, and Netty.
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure; Docker; and Kubernetes or other container runtimes in production.
- Hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, message brokers or event streaming, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of testing, security hardening, Git workflows, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Linux systems, and observability tools.
