Java Senior Software Developer (AWS): Designing and operating highly distributed, cloud-native SaaS and multi-tenant platforms with an accent on Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and scalable AWS services. Location: Remote in Colombia; Bogotá or Medellín

What you will do
- Design architectures, prototypes, and technical proposals aligned with product and platform strategy.
- Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, design discussions, and collaboration with technical stakeholders.
- Build and maintain highly distributed microservice architectures and scalable cloud services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, SDLC practices, reliability, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
- Break down complex initiatives, guide proposals from design through production, and resolve persistent production issues.
- Mentor developers, support responsible AI-assisted development, and evaluate emerging technologies and cloud capabilities.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, plus 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native SaaS or multi-tenant platforms at scale, ideally on AWS.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID principles, code quality, and HTTP APIs such as REST or GraphQL.
- Professional experience building highly distributed microservice architectures with Java 25 and Spring Boot.
- Experience with mentoring developers and influencing architecture across teams.
- Ability to use AI-assisted development tools responsibly, validating generated output for correctness, security, and architectural alignment.
Nice to have
- Angular and TypeScript SPA development.
- Serverless Framework, trunk-based development, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Automated testing with Cypress, Playwright, JMeter, or similar tools.
- Experience with enterprise monorepos, component libraries, design systems, accessibility, or internationalization.
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing concepts.
