Lead Fullstack Developer (React, Java/Node/Go/Python, AWS)

Location: Hybrid, three days per week, in Madison, NJ; Manhattan, NY; Boston, MA; Aventura, FL; or Seattle, WA

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade full-stack applications.
• Build scalable React and TypeScript frontend experiences and backend APIs and microservices in Go, Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Architect AWS-based cloud-native solutions with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring.
• Own features from design through deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and engineering-quality initiatives covering security, testing, observability, and performance.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with product managers, architects, designers, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Deep experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript, including hooks and functional components.
• Strong backend development experience with Go, Java, Python, or Node.js, including REST, gRPC, Thrift, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, RDS, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis.
• Strong AWS experience, plus Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability tools.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives, communicate with cross-functional stakeholders, solve complex problems, and mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, AWS EventBridge, SQS, or other event-driven messaging platforms.
• Exposure to Databricks, Airflow, Temporal, Elasticsearch, monorepos, Bazel, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with enterprise design systems, shared UI component libraries, high-scale SaaS, marketplace, PropTech, real estate technology, or customer-facing digital products.
• Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams.
