Line Servicer (Electrical Transmission and Distribution)

Location: Lancaster, Ohio; must live or be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the Lancaster Service Center.

What you will do

• Install, rearrange, maintain, operate, remove, and inspect overhead and underground transmission and distribution facilities.
• Investigate trouble calls, patrol lines, locate faults, and complete repairs on lines and equipment.
• Coordinate circuit switching and restore service after outages and emergencies.
• Perform emergency repairs and routine maintenance on energized circuits using hot line equipment.
• Install and maintain transformers, meters, services, street-light control equipment, and related facilities.
• Coordinate with customers, fire and police departments, construction crews, and repair teams during trouble restoration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience as a Line Mechanic A, Lineman A, or equivalent; alternatively, 480 tracked and verifiable hours stepped up to a Line Servicer role.
• All Lineman A qualifications must be met and demonstrated through examination, performance appraisal, or company assessment.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Physical abilities assessment required; the role involves heavy physical work.
• Must live or be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the Lancaster Service Center in Lancaster, Ohio.
