Maintenance Electrical Technician- PLC/ Control (PLC)

Location: Columbia, South Carolina, United States; on-site five days per week

Salary: $33.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and repair manufacturing machinery, facility equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Repair electrical, mechanical, and construction systems using schematics and blueprints.
• Troubleshoot Fanuc, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and other controller and drive systems to the component level.
• Monitor machine programs, troubleshoot PLC faults, identify root causes, and document findings in the work order system.
• Perform preventive maintenance and recommend actions to support equipment uptime.
• Coordinate equipment repairs, outside services, materials, purchase requisitions, and safe material handling.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three or more years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical skills, including industrial machinery maintenance.
• Experience with controls, PLC programs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred.
• Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints and use basic computer systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work safely under the plant lockout/tagout plan, and operate within the facility.
