Aerospace Engineering Intern (Summer 2027 Intern)

Location: Plano, TX, United States. Onsite work in laboratory or workshop environments may be required, with occasional travel.

What you will do

• Contribute to technical engineering projects and complete assigned tasks supporting team objectives.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to support engineering decisions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
• Attend planning meetings to understand requirements, timelines, and project goals.
• Perform hands-on technical work and support process improvements and best practices.
• Participate in mentorship activities, workshops, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Be a sophomore, junior, or senior in college or technical school, with at least six months remaining until graduation after the internship ends.
• Be enrolled in an engineering, computer science, or related technical degree program.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Have strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Be able to work at a computer for extended periods, handle tools and technical equipment, occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, and work around loud noise or potentially hazardous conditions.

Nice to have

• Prior technical or engineering internship experience.
• Familiarity with the aerospace and defense industry.
• Basic knowledge of CAD or MATLAB.
• Microsoft Access skills.
