Sr. Transportation Manager - Fleet Management

Location: The Woodlands, Texas, United States; based out of The Woodlands, TX.

What you will do

• Own and execute the national fleet strategy, capital planning, asset management, and performance programs.
• Manage financial, capital replacement, sustainability, and service goals for more than 4,000 tractors, trailers, tankers, and company light-fleet vehicles.
• Lead fleet execution against transportation requirements for internal and external customers.
• Identify asset utilization and productivity opportunities with Transportation, Operations, and Commercial stakeholders.
• Lead fleet transformation initiatives and sustainability pilots across the SC&Ops function.
• Develop a five-year capital replacement and investment plan while driving continuous improvements in cost and service performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Logistics.
• 7+ years of experience in fleet, transportation, or operations.
• Experience managing third-party maintenance providers.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Experience with transportation management systems; SAP TM is preferred.
• Experience with network and route modeling and with multiple transportation modes, including truckload and rail.

Nice to have

• MBA or equivalent qualification.
• Chemical distribution expertise with a commercial and product management background.
