Procurement Manager – U.S. Ground Transportation & Warehousing

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; hybrid schedule with in-office presence three days per week.

What you will do

• Lead sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and contracting for U.S. ground transportation, rail, and warehousing services.
• Develop sourcing strategies for truck carriers, including flatbed, container, drayage, and bulk transportation, as well as third-party warehouses.
• Negotiate rates, surcharges, service-level agreements, storage and handling fees, escalation clauses, performance remedies, and other commercial terms.
• Manage supplier performance reviews, including QBRs and MBRs, and drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and service reliability.
• Translate shipment forecasts, volume trends, lane requirements, and capacity needs into sourcing and contingency plans.
• Partner with Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Risk Management on contracts, compliance, insurance, liability, and risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• At least five years of logistics or procurement experience in a multinational environment.
• Experience managing domestic transportation tenders, negotiating carrier contracts, and developing warehousing RFPs.
• Experience with continuous improvement in logistics, procurement, or supply chain operations.
• Strong data analytics skills, including SAP S/4HANA or another ERP system, advanced Excel, and Power BI.
• Experience working with international or cross-cultural teams and transportation requirements for regulated and non-regulated goods.
