Fleet Asset Manager

Salary: $73,700–$104,633 per year

What you will do

• Manage an 1,800-unit fleet of owned and rented automobiles, trucks, and power-operated equipment.
• Develop and execute annual fleet asset replacement plans, pooling strategies, rental strategies, and utilization improvement initiatives.
• Build lifecycle cost and total cost of ownership analyses to determine replacement timing and optimize fleet spend.
• Manage capital and rental proposals, supplier production schedules, monthly forecasts, and delivery timing.
• Develop fleet design specifications and standardization programs with operations, suppliers, sourcing, and safety teams.
• Maintain fleet management information system records, including asset costs, warranties, maintenance programs, locations, assignments, and financial accounting data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of experience in accounting, finance, supply chain, business planning, or consulting.
• Three years of experience acquiring and disposing of fleet vehicles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, relationship-building, and computer skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and fleet management tools is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles with complex utility upfitting is preferred.
