Data Scientist III (Machine Learning)

Annual salary: $117,000–$234,000, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Develop analytical models for structured, complex business data and translate business problems into data-driven or mathematical solutions.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, statistical inference, trend analysis, cluster analysis, and experiments.
• Define and refine features to improve analytical outcomes and assess model fit, tuning, validation, and feature impact.
• Support the deployment, scalability, and sustainability of analytical models in production environments.
• Develop and test code using languages such as Python, R, SQL, Java, and C.
• Present model outcomes and business insights through appropriate data visualization frameworks while collaborating with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, analytics, mathematics, computer science, information technology, or a related field plus 2 years of experience in analytics or a related field; or a master's degree in a relevant field; or 4 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of statistical modeling, feature selection, exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, and model validation.
• Experience with programming and data technologies, including Python or R, SQL, and database or distributed data stores.
• Ability to formulate business problems as analytical solutions and communicate recommendations and insights.
• Ability to work onsite in Sunnyvale, California, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning, optimization models, and open-source frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Successful completion of an assessment in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
