Staff Data Scientist, Client Data & Measurement (Machine Learning)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with three days in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live and be authorized to work full-time in the United States. A relocation bonus is available for candidates moving to Denver.

Base compensation: $180,000–$203,000 annually, plus a variable compensation component.

What you will do

• Own data science expertise and initiatives across one or more core business domains.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and data engineers to discover, cleanse, and refine data for analysis and modeling.
• Analyze large and novel datasets to generate actionable insights and support business decisions.
• Design experiments and build statistical and machine learning models to address business challenges.
• Harden data pipelines and models for production deployment and monitor performance over time.
• Establish data science best practices and mentor and educate teams across the company.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a professional data science or machine learning role with significant business impact.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
• Expert knowledge of machine learning and statistical algorithms, including model selection and performance optimization.
• Expert-level Python and/or R skills, database manipulation, query languages, and graph data schemas.
• Experience working with complex data in data lakes, distributed systems, and data streams for feature engineering.
• Strong data storytelling, statistical analysis, experimental design, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark or PySpark.
• Strong understanding of time series analysis.
• Experience with MLOps.
• Conference presentations, professional publications, or a recognized online presence in data science or machine learning.
