2027 Winter Co-Ops - Data Analytics - Demonware (Vancouver)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; on-site at the Demonware Vancouver office with a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week in the office. The role is a 7-month, in-person co-op starting January 2027. Relocation assistance may be available depending on eligibility.

Salary: 60,000 CAD annually. A separate annualized base pay range of 45,202.50–95,655.00 CAD is also provided for British Columbia.

Demonware is an hirify.global studio providing online and data services for major game franchises, including Call of Duty and Crash Bandicoot.

What you will do

• Analyze data related to fraud, disruptive behavior, and prosocial behavior in gaming communities.
• Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports for product decisions and strategy.
• Identify trends and anomalies, validate data, and ensure reliable reporting.
• Present findings and actionable recommendations to the Product team and stakeholders.
• Surface insights that improve player experience, reduce fraud, and encourage positive behavior.
• Collaborate with hirify.global data science and machine learning teams and game studios.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or graduate program.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2029.
• Availability for a 7-month, in-person co-op starting January 2027.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience conducting exploratory data analysis.
• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Resume and transcript required; an automated coding assessment is part of the interview process.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tableau, experiments, REST, Spark, or project management tools.
• Basic understanding of machine learning techniques for data analysis and modeling.
• Linux experience, programming-related hobbies, personal projects, school assignments, or open-source contributions.
