Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing (Hybrid)

Location: Laredo, Texas, United States. Remote residence is permitted, but the role requires travel to campus for designated immersive lab periods, typically five to six visits per academic year, plus attendance at the fall faculty assembly and one commencement ceremony. The position includes regular face-to-face attendance on campus and in the workplace.

What you will do

• Teach assigned didactic and immersive nursing courses in graduate and undergraduate programs.
• Supervise and evaluate student progress in coursework and clinical experiences.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing curriculum and courses.
• Advise students throughout their programs of study.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with community and healthcare organizations.
• Participate in college and university committees and professional service activities.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in nursing from an accredited university; ABD candidates must complete the doctorate before appointment.
• Master’s degree in nursing.
• At least five years of clinical practice experience as a registered nurse or APRN.
• At least five years of teaching experience in nursing education.
• Current, unencumbered Texas RN license required.
• All APRN certification requirements for the relevant specialty must be met.
