TL;DR
Group Leader, Finished Products and Stability (Chemistry): Managing laboratory workflow, staff schedules, finished-product and stability testing, and technical documentation with an accent on cGMP/GLP compliance, analytical instrumentation, and quality investigations. Focus on coordinating projects, leading OOS/OOT and deviation investigations, executing CAPA, and ensuring accurate laboratory information system records.

Salary: CAD 65,000–90,000 yearly

What you will do

  • Monitor laboratory workflow, schedule staff activities, and maintain analyst and scientist work schedules against project timelines.
  • Coordinate resource allocation, project prioritization, and collaboration across groups and functions.
  • Write, review, and approve protocols, methods, technical reports, SOPs, proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Lead or support OOS, OOT, testing failure, and deviation investigations, including appropriate CAPA activities.
  • Evaluate client requests, develop scopes of work and proposals, and coordinate method transfers between clients and hirify.global.
  • Execute and oversee testing, analyze data, maintain laboratory records, and ensure results are entered accurately into the electronic laboratory information system or certificates of analysis.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc/PhD in Chemistry or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, dissolution testing, thermometers, and ovens.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cGMP and GLP requirements.
  • Experience coordinating a group, managing workloads, and handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong data interpretation, time management, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
