Microbiological Analyst

Location: Chilliwack, Canada

Salary: CAD 73,150–80,850 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Execute microbiological analyses for raw materials, semi-finished products, packaging materials, and the production environment.
• Conduct incoming-goods and environmental sampling, including sample collection, transfer, and testing coordination.
• Prepare and incubate samples, evaluate results, document analyses, and create reports.
• Maintain, calibrate, and coordinate service and repairs for laboratory equipment.
• Develop, validate, adapt, and document microbiological methods, SOPs, and quality-management documentation.
• Support production, quality assurance, quality control, facility management, and the HACCP team during startup and routine operations.

Requirements

• BSc in microbiology or a related field, or equivalent experience or training; a master's degree is an asset.
• Strong analytical and technical skills with proficiency in laboratory equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO, GMP, GLP, or similar quality systems.
• Experience with laboratory information management systems and data-analysis software.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with a team, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
