Sr Manager, Credit Risk (Finance)

What you will do

• Manage the credit risk portfolio across more than 5,000 active customer accounts, including credit limits, approvals, and decisioning standards.
• Monitor portfolio health and concentration risk using early warning indicators, financial reviews, scorecards, and dashboards.
• Prepare portfolio performance reports and lead credit committee preparation, analysis, documentation, and follow-up.
• Partner with Commercial/Sales, Operations, and Collections on onboarding, credit terms, order holds and releases, and collection prioritization.
• Maintain credit decision and exception documentation, support policy updates, and ensure internal controls and reserve adequacy.
• Automate credit decisioning workflows and platform configurations while improving operational efficiency and data quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of progressive experience in credit risk management, commercial credit, or financial risk.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience overseeing credit analysts or collections teams.
• Experience managing credit risk in a B2B environment with a large and diverse customer base.
• Strong skills in data analysis, financial modeling, credit scoring, stress testing, financial statement analysis, negotiation, and presentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to lead a team and communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Nice to have

• Experience in food distribution, CPG, or wholesale, particularly with independent or alternative-channel customers.
• Experience with trade credit insurance, insurability assessments, and ERP or credit management platforms with automated suspension and hold capabilities.
