Manager Clinical Pharmacy Services

Location: Hybrid, three days per week in the office at offices in Burlington, Renton, Spokane, Vancouver, Portland, Medford, Salt Lake City, Boise, Lewiston, or Fargo. Preference is given to candidates within commuting distance of the listed offices or willing to relocate.

Salary: $148,800–$201,300 expected hiring range in Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho; full salary range of $140,000–$228,000 with a 25% bonus target. North Dakota full salary range: $129,767–$214,115 with a 15% bonus target.

What you will do

• Manage clinical pharmacy program development, implementation, maintenance, and quality assurance across pharmacy, medical, and specialty medication benefits.
• Lead programs supporting medication safety, quality, affordability, Stars, HEDIS, eValu8, and appropriate medication utilization.
• Collaborate with clinical services, customer services, product, sales, marketing, operations, medical management, contracting, analytics, and external vendors.
• Monitor service levels, contractual obligations, policies, workflows, and compliance with state, federal, and CMS requirements.
• Lead, mentor, hire, coach, and retain clinical and non-clinical staff, with up to 10 direct reports.
• Manage department budgets, financial targets, workforce allocation, resources, and project plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
• At least three years of patient-care experience combined with management or professional business experience in managed health care, a medical group, hospital, or related health care delivery organization.
• Licensed pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Strong clinical pharmacy expertise, clinical therapy knowledge, business acumen, health care economics, benefit design, provider contracting, and operational processes.
• Experience analyzing medication claims and recommending utilization, safety, quality, and affordability programs.
• Knowledge of Medicare/CMS regulations, pharmaceutical products, health care coding and payment systems, pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, PPACA, and related state and federal requirements.

Nice to have

• Residency certificate or advanced degree in health care administration, economics, public health, pharmacy administration, finance, or an equivalent field.
• Experience with AI tools and technologies for productivity and decision-making.
