Business Banking Underwriter II - Practice Finance

Location: Columbus, OH, United States; office workplace

Salary: $57,000–$113,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Underwrite Business Banking loans and determine creditworthiness in accordance with bank lending policy.
• Review financial and credit application information to make sound credit decisions.
• Assess borrower risk profiles for moderately complex credits and customer exposures up to $2.5 million.
• Maintain an individual pipeline of underwriting work to support Business Banking production.
• Use single approval authority for credits up to $2 million.
• Support additional tasks for the line of business and job family as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in business or commercial underwriting within a centralized lending environment.
• Ability to underwrite credit exposures in excess of $1 million.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, planning, follow-up, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks while maintaining quality.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other internet resources.
• Excellent customer service skills and a motivated, focused, goal-oriented approach.
